EV charging in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of Europe's smallest EV markets: 763 electric vehicles were registered at the end of 2024, and Eurostat-based figures show 71 new battery-electric cars in 2025 (0.7% of new car registrations). Public charging is split between the utility Elektroprivreda BiH, private networks such as e-GO and single chargers at hotels, malls and fuel stations; most operators publish no prices, there is no official nationwide count and no Tesla Supercharger. Only a few firms publish home-charger prices (about 670–2,900 KM per wallbox), household electricity is regulated separately in the Federation, Republika Srpska and Brčko District, and the Federation's 2026 EV purchase subsidy (up to 12,000 KM) was fully reserved within two days.

Public charging
How many public chargers: No official nationwide count; published figures range from 78 to about 500. Electromaps lists 78 stations (Sarajevo Canton 33, Republika Srpska 22, the rest spread over other cantons). Automobili.ba (05.03.2026) gives about 180 public stations (about 120 AC and 60 DC; Sarajevo about 50, Banja Luka about 30) citing 'IRENA 2026' without a link. N1 and Balans.co.ba (03.08.2025) report 'about 500'. In February 2024 media quoted 320–350 chargers, about 15 of them fast. What the law says about a charger in a shared garage or parking lot — who has to agree, who pays for the electricity and how it is metered.
Work on common parts for an owner's own installation (Federation of BiH)
An owner may change their own unit, but if the change requires work on common parts of the building it is allowed only if it is usual or serves an important interest of the owner; otherwise any co-owner can forbid it. Co-owners cannot, however, forbid laying lines for light, gas, energy, water and telephone. The law does not mention EV chargers.

- At the third Green Agenda ministerial meeting for the Western Balkans (Žabljak, 18–19.09.2026), the Transport Community secretariat said it gives regional partners technical assistance on alignment with the EU Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), preparation of national policy frameworks and a regional roadmap, aiming at an interoperable charging and refuelling network along the TEN-T network. - In the Federation of BiH the energy regulator FERK keeps a register of EV charging service providers; it lists 2 providers (e-GO and Porsche Inter Auto BH) with 20 stations, all in Sarajevo, and its last entry is dated 02.04.2024. - The WebSearch budget ran out early in this pass; the rest was done by opening official pages and already-known URLs. Only 3 home-charger sellers could be verified and none in Banja Luka or Tuzla (the 22.09.2026 pass had the same gap).
- Installation prices for home chargers: not published by any BiH source found.
- Republika Srpska: no verified home-charger seller or installer. The OLX shop 'Elektropunjaci' (Bijeljina) has no active listings and was last online about four years ago.
- Hager's BiH site (hager.com/ba) shows its witty charger range but names no sellers or prices. Schrack's e-mobility products do not display without JavaScript.
- EPBiH public charging prices: announced for mojaenergija.epbih.ba/elektromobilnost/ but not published as of 23.09.2026. e-GO prices are not on its site. Whether EPBiH charging is still in a free test phase is not stated.
- Republika Srpska: no public charging operator with published prices found; the ERS, Elektroprivreda HZ HB, Petrol BiH, INA BiH/Energopetrol and m:tel sites have no charging information. The operator behind 'easy2charge' was not identified.
- No official nationwide count of public charge points. FERK's Federation register was last updated 02.04.2024; map and media figures range from 78 to about 500.
- BIHAMK has not yet published its 2025 registered-vehicles report; no IDDEEA or statistics-agency series by fuel type was found.
- EPBiH household tariff tables are published as images; EPBiH figures come from media, and whether they include network charges is not confirmed.
- Brčko District: no EV purchase or charger subsidy found.
- No subsidy for home chargers found in either entity; the Federation's JP EV 2026 does not list chargers as eligible.
- Apartment buildings: no EV-specific rule in the entity property laws; the Federation's cantonal building-management laws (e.g. Sarajevo Canton) could not be opened; no rules found on metering or billing a charger in a shared garage.
- Policy: no BiH national policy framework for alternative fuels or NECP e-mobility target was verified; the Energy Community's BiH page has no e-mobility content.
- Tuzla Canton charging-station co-financing: only the 2025 budget line is reported; no 2026 call found.
- Blocked or not loading: autoklub.net (robots.txt timeout), portal.sef.ba (timeout), energologija.com (timeout), ekapija.com (403), ferk.ba tariff pages (robots.txt fetch failed), chargerbh.ba (domain does not resolve), akta.ba article on the Hager charger in Zenica (server error), otisak.ba (did not resolve), paragraf.ba index of Republika Srpska laws (disallowed by robots.txt).
